Who holds the pencil

We are Soucolor. We make sketchbooks, hardcover pads, colored pencils, markers, gel pens, art sets, dot markers and brushes, and we test every one of them the same plain way: a small card, one stroke per colour, a label underneath.
The swatch card is where we learned most of what we know. It showed us that a soft pencil core needs paper with tooth, that alcohol ink needs a coated sheet, and that a glitter pen which looks teal in the barrel can write closer to green. Those lessons became the things we build in: numbered barrels, color cards in the box, paper weights printed plainly on every cover.
What we care about at the desk
- Acid-free, pH-neutral paper, so a drawing is not let down by the sheet under it.
- Bindings that lie flat for left hands and right hands alike.
- Enough sheets, colours and refills that nobody has to ration them.
- Plain labels: sheet counts, gsm and colour numbers where you can read them.
- Cases that close, so a set that leaves the house comes home complete.
Who we make things for
A seven-year-old with a 283-piece case and a free afternoon. A student filling a 9x12 pad with hands and faces. An adult who has not coloured since school and just opened 72 pencils. A teacher setting out dot markers for twelve toddlers. Our banner says Discover Your Creative Journey, and we mean the whole of it, including the wobbly first page.
These pages show what we make and explain how to choose. When you are ready to order, each item links to its page at our partner store, where checkout, delivery and returns are handled.
