Soucolor sketchbooks, markers and pencils, swatched first
Every new set we make starts the same way yours will: one small card, one stroke per colour, a name written under each. Discover Your Creative Journey from that first test row to the last page of the pad.

Pads that come back as full sketchbooks and sets whose caps have been clicked a thousand times. These are the supplies people reach for again.

Which sketchbook goes under your hand?
The paper decides how a colour behaves long before the drawing does. Four pads, four different answers.
Large 9x12, the everyday pad
One hundred sheets of 68 lb acid-free paper on a top spiral. Our pick for graphite, charcoal, colored pencil and all the practice pages that never need to be precious.
Watercolor, 140 lb cold press
Forty sheets of 300 gsm paper with a light texture that holds a wash and lets pigment settle. Reach for it when water is part of the plan.
Marker paper, bleedproof coating
A coated 73 lb sheet that keeps alcohol ink on the surface, so both sides of all 100 sheets stay usable and blends stay smooth.
Small 5.5x8.5, the carry-along
A two-pack of pocket pads with stiff covers front and back. It goes in a tote or a backpack and holds up on a knee.
Why we label every colour
Four habits we keep at our own desk and build into the things we make.
Paper that keeps its colour
Our drawing, marker, watercolor and mixed media papers are acid-free and pH-neutral, so the page under your work does not yellow while the drawing waits in a drawer.
A spare for every gel pen
Sixty pens ship with sixty matching refills. Running out of one colour should not end a coloring page, so we pack the answer in the same case.
Colours you can find again
Numbered barrels, color-coded caps and a blank color card in the box. We want you to know which blue made that sky when you need it a second time.
Pages that lie flat and tear clean
Spiral bindings open all the way, for either hand. Micro-perforated edges let a finished piece leave the pad without taking the next sheet with it.
Notes left in the margin
Words from people who have already filled a few pages with our paper, pencils and pens.
Great Sketchbook for the Price
This sketchbook provides plenty of paper and is a great size for drawing at home or taking along. The pages work well for pencils and other dry art supplies, and the spiral binding makes them easy to turn. Overall, it is a good value for 100 sheets. 5 stars.
Better buy a case.
Pencils are nice & colors are vibrant. Blending well. I was disappointed in the packaging! The trays are very flimsy & if you open it upside down, you'll be picking up pencils ✏️ off the floor. You'll definitely need to purchase a pencil case for these. Suitable for beginners.
Soucolor great gift for crafters
My daughter in law loved everything about the product: the many different colors that she doesn’t usually see and so easy to use.
Quality Value & Assortment
Really Nice assortment of colors And Quality Product. I really appreciate that it comes with refills. Saves throwing away the emtpy pen into the landfill. Would be Super Nice if you could order the refill packs without the pens. I Love to color and I know at some point the refills will be gone!!
Good for travel.
Good quality, the kids loved them. They just wish there was more sketch pad paper in them. That's easy enough to get on it's own.
Perfect for little learners!
As a teacher, I want to keep the learning going for my own kids during the summer. These dot markers are perfect for that! They make learning fun and hands on. My son loves when I pull these out. I love that they are washable too, so even though it bled through the paper, it washed up even hours later!
From our test pages
Short, practical reads on swatching a new set, matching paper to medium and telling one marker ink from another.
Asked before the first stroke
The questions we hear most about paper weight, bleeding, washing out and what is inside the big cases.
Are Soucolor colored pencils good for adult coloring books?
Yes, that is what we designed them for. The 72 pencils have soft cores, so colour goes down under light pressure and layers build without scoring the page. That makes blending and shading workable in small spaces. Swatch them on a spare corner of the same book first, since coloring-book paper varies a lot.
Do alcohol markers bleed through paper?
On ordinary paper, yes. Alcohol ink is thin and soaks into the sheet, which is also why it blends so smoothly. Use our coated marker paper pad or the 200 gsm hardcover marker pad, where the ink stays near the surface. In a coloring book, slip a spare sheet behind the page you are working on.
What paper weight should I use for markers?
Coating matters as much as weight. Our spiral marker pad is 73 lb (120 gsm) with a coating that lets you use both sides. Our hardcover marker pads are 200 gsm for heavier layering. Plain 68 lb sketch paper is made for dry media and will let alcohol ink through.
Are Soucolor dot markers washable?
They are. The ink is water-based and made to wash from hands, clothing and most surfaces with soap and water. As with any colour, wash sooner rather than later, and test delicate fabrics or unsealed wood before trusting them to a two-year-old.
What is in the Soucolor 192-piece art set?
Sixty crayons, 24 colored pencils, 24 oil pastels, 24 watercolor cakes, 24 acrylic paints, three A4 canvas boards, eight brushes and three pads: a 300 gsm acrylic pad, a 300 gsm watercolor pad and a 100 gsm sketch book. Small accessories fill the rest, and everything fits in a wooden case with a handle.
Should I choose a spiral sketchbook or a hardcover pad?
Choose by where you draw. Our soft-cover spiral pads are light, hold 100 sheets and are the thrifty choice for daily practice. Hardcover pads have a rigid board front and back, heavier paper and fewer sheets, which suits finished pieces, wet media and drawing without a table.
Soucolor art supplies, one test row at a time
We started with paper, and Soucolor sketchbooks are still the first thing most people try. The 9x12 sketch book carries 100 sheets of 68 lb, 100 gsm acid-free drawing paper on a top spiral, with micro-perforated edges for clean removal. It suits pencil, charcoal, pastel and colored pencil. From there the range widens: a bleedproof marker paper pad, a 140 lb cold press watercolor paper pad, a 98 lb mixed media sketchbook, and hardcover pads up to 11x14 inches for artists who want a board built into the book.
Soucolor colored pencils come as a set of 72 colours with soft cores, made for adult coloring books, sketching and layered shading. Soft-core colored pencils release pigment under light pressure, which leaves room for a second and third layer and makes blending between neighbors possible. Every pencil arrives pre-sharpened. If you would like paper in the same box, we pair the 72-color colored pencil set with a 9x12 sketch pad, so the first page can be a swatch chart and the second can be the drawing itself.
Our alcohol markers are dual-tip, with a fine point for line work and a chisel tip for fills, and they come in sets of 48, 80, 100, 120, 168, 204, 262 and 320 colours. Alcohol-based ink dries quickly and blends into soft gradients, which is why illustrators and coloring-book fans use it for skin, fabric and skies. Larger sets include a carrying case and holders, and several are refillable. For lettering and journals we also make water-based dual brush markers, with a flexible brush tip and a fineliner on each pen.
Soucolor gel pens are built for colouring as much as writing. Each set holds 60 gel pens and 60 matching refills, with a 0.8 to 1.0 mm tip that lays down glitter, metallic, pastel and neon ink in a smooth line. Glitter gel pens suit adult coloring books, greeting cards, scrapbooks and bullet journals, and metallic ink shows well on dark paper. A color chart is included so you can record how each pen really looks on the page before it meets a finished design.
For anyone who would rather open one box than build a kit, our art sets for kids and adults pack a studio into a case. The 73 and 76 piece drawing kits focus on sketch pencils, charcoal and watercolor pencils. The 183, 192 and 283 piece art supplies sets add crayons, oil pastels, watercolor cakes, acrylic paints, canvas boards and a fold-out easel. Toddlers get washable dot markers with sponge tips, and painters get round brush sets in graduated sizes. Whatever you open first, Discover Your Creative Journey with a test stroke.

The first stroke is only a test
Nothing on a swatch card has to be good. It only has to tell you what the colour does. Pick a pad, pick something to mark it with, and give yourself one row of honest tests before the real drawing begins.
